Job Title: Quality Inspector $25 - $33/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to perform dimensional checks on all structural pieces and assemblies, ensuring they meet the required specifications. The inspector will conduct weld inspections, inspect fabricated pieces, surface preparation, and paint, and interpret structural fabrication drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

+ Perform dimensional checks on all structural pieces and assemblies to verify shape, size, fit-up, hole location, surface finish, and coatings align with drawings and blueprints.

+ Conduct weld inspections and inspect fabricated pieces, welds, surface preparation, and paint.

+ Understand and interpret basic weld symbols (Fillet, Groove, etc.).

+ Read and interpret structural fabrication drawings and blueprints.

+ Interpret and apply various codes of standard practices.

+ Understand mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of planes, solid geometry, trigonometry, and fractional mathematics.

+ Use tools such as tape measures, combination square, speed square, framing square, bevel square, magnetic level, chalk line, and weld gauges.

+ Verify shape, size, holes, and all detail parts conform to detail drawings.

+ Mark weld symbols on all pieces for welders.

+ Generate records of all inspections.

+ Visually inspect welds per AWS D1.1 standards.

+ Inspect paint coverage and record results.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $56160.00/yr.
