    Job Title: Construction Safety ManagerJob Description

     

    The safety director will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and administering safety, health, and environmental policies, programs, and training.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide strategic oversight of the risk analysis and safety program for the company.

    + Keep leadership informed about safety concerns and recommend new policies and procedures.

    + Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs to reduce the frequency of accidents and injuries, and assist in minimizing overall workers' compensation costs.

    + Develop and prescribe hazard control designs, methods, procedures, and programs.

    + Implement, administer, and advise others across all disciplines on hazard control programs.

    + Plan, implement, communicate, and monitor safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations.

    + Observe safety and security procedures, determine appropriate actions beyond guidelines, and report potentially unsafe conditions.

    + Report observations that will both minimize operational risk and promote operational efficiency.

    + Develop and implement safety training programs designed to instruct employees in general safe work practices, including specific instructions regarding hazards unique to any job assignment, and provide training for new employees.

    + Review and respond to OSHA inquiries.

    + Maintain records for statistical measurement and conformance to standard practices of the safety industry.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 3 years of related experience OR 6 years of construction safety management experience and a 2-year degree.

    + Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance standards.

    + Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management Software.

    + Ability to work with all management levels.

    + Strong leadership and business acumen skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + OSHA 500 Certification.

    + 7+ years of construction safety experience.

    Work Environment

    The position will likely require spending most of the time on job sites. The role offers an opportunity to diversify your portfolio while working directly with executive staff members.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
