Requirements:

+ Current college student or recent graduate.

+ Strong attention to detail.

+ Strong organization and time management skills.

+ Knowledge of Microsoft suite is a plus (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

+ Able to work a minimum of 15 hours a week (unpaid).

+ Enthusiasm to learn and a positive attitude.

+ Desire to work on a team.

+ Self-starter with proactive mindset.

News interns will spend their time shadowing and gaining experience in the following departments:

News

+ Planning, organizing, editing, and reviewing materials for publication.

+ Suggesting ideas for headlines.

+ Assisting in research and verifying facts.

+ Utilize social media platforms to promote stories.

+ Collaborate with other reporters and staff.

+ Participate in editorial meetings and contribute ideas.

Creative Services

+ May assist in commercial shoots.

+ May also assist in editing commercials.

Digital

+ Learn about the digital advertising opportunities.

+ May assist in creating digital ads.
