Mark IV Enterprises is hiring! We are searching for a qualified, reliable, team oriented Landscaper to service our upscale apartment communities and successful commercial properties in in the Greater Rochester NY area.

The Lawn Crew member is responsible for the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds surrounding our properties. The Crew plants flowers, mows, pulls weeds, repairs structures and maintains the outside of the buildings.

Responsibilities:

• Perform grounds keeping and building maintenance duties

• Mow lawn either by hand or using a riding lawnmower

• Cut lawn using hand, power or riding mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls

• Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs and bushes

• Apply pesticide to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitos, wasps, ticks, and others

• Apply fertilizer to the ground to enhance growth

• Shovel snow from walkways and sprinkle salt on ice to prevent falls

• Sweep walkways of debris

• Trim shrubs and pull weeds

• Cut down tree limbs that pose a danger

• Rake, mulch, and prune as needed

• Water plants and grass as needed

• Apply and spread mulch

• Construction grade landscaping/paver installation

• Exterior painting

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 1 year experience lawn/landscaping

• General maintenance skills

• Crew leader experience a big plus

• Adept at the use of hand tools and power equipment; familiarity and adherence to safe work practices

• Bobcat and heavy equipment experience a plus

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

• Ability to perform heavy lifting / pushing / pulling (50 lbs +)

• Understand and follow OSHA requirements

• Valid NYS driver’s license and own transportation

• Must pass pre-employment fitness-for-duty physical exam

Pay

$17-$19 / hour new crew member

$19-$20 / hour seasoned crew member

$20-$22 / hour seasoned crew leader
