    ## **Job Summary**

    As a Derrickman you will operate and repair drilling equipment\. You will maintain drilling rigs, vehicles, and safety equipment associated with the safe and efficient operation of a rig site\. Under the direct supervision of the Driller, Derrickman may supervise other employees in specific tasks\. This position requires a flexible work schedule, including long and/or irregular hours, weekends and holidays\.

    ## **Job Duties & Responsibilities**

    + Build and maintain drilling fluid

    + Transfer drilling fluids on location

    + Repair equipment

    ## **Job Specific Skills**

    + Have strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

    + Follow oral or written instructions to complete assigned tasks with supervision

    + Interact with others in a team environment

    + Minimum training requirements: Health, Safety and Environment Orientation and Rig Specific Start Up Training\. Well Control Certification, Driller Level, Drilling Only, and Horizontal and Extended Reach Drilling \(HERDIT\)

     

    ## **Education & Experience**

     

    Minimum: 3 \- 5 years related experience

     

    High school diploma, GED, or the equivalent required
