Core Responsibility:

Responsible for performing various molecular biology protocols associated with the company’s high-throughput gene synthesis process

Position Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

+ PCR set-up

+ Gel purification

+ Restriction digest

+ Transformation

+ Analyzing gel data

+ Work within a multi-disciplinary team, meet goals for accuracy, production deadlines and throughput utilizing the company’s proprietary gene-synthesis platform and related tools.

+ Perform production protocols according to established company operating procedures and assist with general production support as needed.

+ Associate or Bachelor Degree in Life Science.

+ 1+ years preferred lab experience related to biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or chemistry.

+ The ideal candidate is self-motivated, possesses outstanding organizational skills, and the demonstrated ability to perform as an effective team member.

+ Familiarity with PCR, and the operation of complex laboratory equipment are highly desirable.

+ Experience utilizing and organizing data via spreadsheets and databases is preferred. Good computer skills, precise attention to detail, record keeping, and adherence to protocols is required.

+ The position will require weekend work (Thursday to Monday 8:00am to 4:30pm).

+ 8:00am - 4:30pm, Thursday - Monday
