    Position Title: MM&D Data Analyst, Emerging Talent Intern

     

    Hourly Rate: $19.00 (Undergraduate)

    OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT:

    The Department of Materials Management and Distribution is responsible for the administration and control of New York City Transit’s inventory assets. Inventory assets are the various materials and supplies that are used in daily operations throughout the system, whether for office work, maintenance shops or structural repairs.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Maintain Excel Spreadsheets.

    + Review department databases.

    + Examining datasets to draw conclusions, organize, clean, and study data .

    + Contribute to supply chain operations.

    + Support staff in developing process and procedures to streamline operations.

    + Track employee hire dates and ensure the list is updated regularly.

    + Exame datasets to draw conclusions.

    + Organize, clean, and study data to understand patterns or trends.

    PROJECTS:

    + Maintaining a roster.

    + Regulatory compliance.

    + Collect, analyze, and report data.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.

    + The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills.

    + The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.

    + The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    + Matriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with at least 2.5 GPA AND/OR

    + Major(s) Preferred: Public Administration, Human Resources, and Personnel Administration.
