    **Pay Range:** $29.36 - $47.79 per hour

    Summary:

    The Project Coordinator for clinical site independently assists the Rush College of Nursing faculty in securing clinical training sites for the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) students enrolled in a CON nurse Practitioner (NP) or clinical nurse specialty (CNS) programs. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values, and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

    Required Job Qualifications:

    •Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work or nursing.

    •Experience establishing relationships with outside partners.

    •Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, working effectively with a variety of faculty, staff, and students.

    •Ability to deal courteously and in a professional manner with faculty, staff, and students.

    •Effective writing skills.

    •Excellent computer skills, including database management.

    •Ability to work under pressure with accuracy.

    •Maintains contacts with current training agencies to sustain and enhance relationships. Extensively networks with other clinical agencies to identify and establish new training sites; initiates partnerships. Travel to current and potential training sites may be required.

    Preferred Job Qualifications:

    •Master’s degree.

    •Previous work experience in academic health care environment.

    •Knowledge of APRN education.

    •3 or more years of experience in health services and health care systems.

    •Experience establishing relationships within Chicago’s health care community.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Meets with faculty regularly to determine and plan for training needs of Rush’s APRN students.

    2. Arranges clinical training for eligible students at the appropriate training sites. Coordinates training site arrangements with administrative staff coordinating sites for clinical training. Effectively troubleshoots problems with clinical sites as they occur.

    3. Assists faculty and administrative staff coordinating sites for clinical training with contract coordination, including creation of training site paperwork.

    4. Maintains contacts with current training agencies to sustain and enhance relationships. Extensively networks with other clinical agencies to identify and establish new training sites; initiates partnerships.

    5. Collaborates with administrative staff coordinating sites for clinical training in the maintenance of records of all students who are anticipating clinical training in the upcoming year. Maintains records of each student’s placement, anticipated clinical hours, and anticipated rotations; cross checks all student placement records for accuracy and appropriateness. Maintains and is accountable for the audit trail relating to clinical placement of APRN students.
