• Responsibilities:

+ Oversee daily operations of the Level I nursery at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital

+ Attend deliveries and provide in-hospital pediatric support

+ Collaborate with OB and nursing teams to ensure optimal newborn outcomes

+ Mentor and supervise Pediatric Nurse Practitioners

+ Help drive initiatives around quality improvement, patient safety, and family-centered care

• Qualifications:

+ Medical Degree (MD/DO) from an accredited medical school

+ Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics

+ Active NYS medical license (or ability to obtain)

+ Experience in newborn nursery care and delivery attendance required

+ Prior supervisory experience preferred, but not required

+ A natural team leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

+ Passion for providing patient-centered, compassionate care

PAY RANGE:$150,000.00 - $200,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
