    **Position:** Full-Time Radiation Therapist

    **Location:** UPMC Williamsport, Divine Providence Campus, Williamsport, PA

    **Schedule:** Full-time, daylight hours, Monday through Friday (No holidays required)

    **Sign-On Bonus:** $10,000

    Key Responsibilities:

    • **Clinical Operations:**

    • Assist in the orientation and supervision of students during clinical rotations.

    • Evaluate student performance with the Chief Therapist.

    • Communicate effectively to explain treatment-related procedures.

    • Observe and report patient reactions to treatments.

    • Maintain a safe, orderly treatment room.

    • Provide on-call coverage as needed.

    • Assist at other UPMC Radiation Oncology locations as required.

    • **Treatment Procedures:**

    • Perform treatment, simulation, and fabrication of immobilization devices.

    • Ensure patient safety and document treatment records accurately.

    • Explain treatment procedures to patients and families.

    • Take localization images and assist in the administration of contrast agents.

    • **Continuing Education:**

    • Participate in training programs to maintain ARRT Certification.

    • **Fiscal Responsibilities:**

    • Participate in accurate charge capture activities.

    • Notify site leadership of supply needs.

    • **Quality Assurance:**

    • Prioritize patient safety and perform QA activities for equipment.

    • Collaborate with team members to maintain high standards for quality service.

    • **Regulatory Affairs:**

    • Participate in regulatory compliance activities.

    • Follow radiation safety standards and remain HIPAA compliant.

    Completion of a formal radiation therapy technology program in a JRCERT-accredited institution.

     

    + **ARRT Registration in good standing or Board Eligibility within six months of hire. Must maintain 24 CEU's per Biennium as required for ARRT Certification and Licensure.**

    + **CPR certification is required within 30 days of beginning employment.**

    + **CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire**

    + ARRT Certificate

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
