Major/Essential Functions:

+ Contributes to the University's mission through teaching students and residents, research and clinical services

+ Provides patient care services in outpatient and inpatient settings

+ Participates in scholarly activities in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, in the area of Women's Health

+ Participates in committees and other administrative duties

+ Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations

+ Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience education of residents and/or medical students

+ Board certification in OB/GYN by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology for the rank of assistant professor or higher

+ Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher

+ Bilingual in English/Spanish

Required Qualifications:

+ M.D. or D.O. degree

+ Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited or RCPSC-accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology

+ Texas medical license or eligible for licensure in the state of Texas
