    Summary: This position serves as a advocate for patients who qualify for non-chargeable medications from pharmaceutical manufacturers. Performs ALL duties and responsibilities under the direction of a Pharmacist licensed in the State of Indiana.

     

    Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

     

    Licensure/Certification: Must have an Indiana Board of Pharmacy Tech in Training license or a current State Board of Indiana license as a Pharmacy Technician. National Pharmacy Technician Certification required within 1 year of hire.

     

    Experience: One year experience as a pharmacy technician. Minimum of 5 years of healthcare experience or equivalent. Experience with pharmacy-related billing and knowledge of reimbursement policies and procedures, specifically for Medicare and Medicaid preferred. PC class or equivalent experience related to word processing, database, spreadsheet, presentations, and multi- media. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to perform routine pharmaceutical calculations.
