**Harborview Medical Center - Facilities & Capital Development** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Healthcare Interior Design Lead** .
WORK SCHEDULE
+ 100% FTE
+ M-F; 8am-4pm
+ Onsite/No telework **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION** **Harborview Facilities & Capital Development Division** is comprised of several support services throughout the medical center, including Capital Development, Clinical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Operator Services, and more. All of which serve UW Medicine's mission to improve the health of the public by attending to maintenance, alterations and repairs to the buildings and systems needed to maintain patient care and a healing environment at Harborview.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
+ Provide innovative professional architecture and interior design solutions for a wide range of internally funded renovation projects at Harborview Medical Center (HMC)
+ Lead the Design Shared Services team including a Space Manager, Signage-Facilities Planner, Drafting Tech and Interiors Construction Project Manager **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITES**
+ Direct and oversee the interior design work of consulting architects and interior designers
+ Participate in design meetings to review and provide design direction based on institutional needs
+ Communicate project updates to senior management, department managers, staff, and faculty
+ Update, coordinate and maintain Harborview’s Interior Finishes and Furnishing Standards to select materials and finishes that are appropriate for the environment, align with sustainability goals and meet code compliance
+ Provide guidance in the development of interior solutions, finishes and furnishing standards for the King County Harborview Bond projects aligned with Harborview Medical Center Campus Finish Standards
+ Coordinate and consult with Harborview’s Facilities Maintenance Division and support staff regarding interior design
+ Coordinate Harborview’s art program with 4Culture and other resource organizations
+ Lead and facilitate Harborview’s Design Review Board, which oversees the condition of public spaces throughout the medical center, to foster positive experiences that promote healing and wellness **REQUIREMENTS**
+ Interior Design degree from a CIDA accredited program or an Architecture degree (Master’s or Bachelor’s)
+ Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Interior Design and/or Interior Architecture
+ Minimum of 5 years of healthcare specific design experience - outpatient and inpatient acute care preferred
+ NCIDQ certification
+ 10 years or more of professional experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Cloud, and MS Office
+ Familiarity with Building Codes and Department of Health guidelines (FGI and NFPA 101 Life Safety Code)
