The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Rochester Medical Center is actively recruiting a clinically active Neuropsychologist to join our outpatient interdisciplinary team. Clinical responsibilities include neuropsychological assessment in our multidisciplinary outpatient PM&R service as well as the outpatient neuropsychology service. This position offers the opportunity to engage in academic and scholarly activity and interests, program development, and collaboration both inside and outside the Medical Center (Department of PM&R UR Neurorestoration Institute, Department of Neurology/Neurosurgery, Del Monte Neuroscience Institute, Department of Psychiatry, Rochester Center for Brain Imaging, Center for Health Technology, Center for Translational Neuromedicine, and more).

There are ample opportunities to pursue academic and scholarly interests. This includes supporting the educational mission of the university, teaching and mentoring medical fellows, residents, medical students, as well as psychology residents and fellows, and support to pursue research interests. This position comes with a primary faculty appointment in the Department of PM&R and at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Qualifications

The candidate must have (1) a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from an APA or CPA-accredited training program, (2) be enrolled in or have completed a formal two-year post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology, and (3) be NYS-licensed or license-eligible. ABPP/ABN Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology is a plus. Preferred candidates will have prior teaching experience, clinical supervisory skills, experience working in academic medicine, and a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and working with broadly diverse communities.

The referenced pay range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
