Description
The University of Rochester Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is actively recruiting a doctoral-level, clinically active Rehabilitation Psychologist to join our outpatient interdisciplinary team. Essential duties include the growth of an outpatient psychology clinic that will provide psychotherapy services to rehab patients and their families. Additionally, there are opportunities to perform pre-procedure evaluations, engage in program development, and pursue academic and scholarly activities and interests, as well as interface collaboratively with the Department of PM&R UR Neurorestorative Institute and the Department of Neurology/Neurosurgery Del Monte Neuroscience Institute.
There are ample opportunities to pursue academic and scholarly interests. This includes supporting the educational mission of the university, teaching and mentoring medical fellows, residents, and medical students, as well as psychology residents and fellows. Additionally, support to pursue research interests, and collaborate with the partners mentioned above and more. This position comes with a primary faculty appointment in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate would have (1) completed a doctorate in clinical, counseling, or health psychology from an APA or CPA-accredited training program, (2) demonstrated internship or fellowship training in a healthcare setting, and (3) be NYS-licensed or license-eligible. Preferred candidates will have prior rehabilitation experience, clinical supervisory skills, and experience working in academic medicine. The referenced pay range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
