    About This Role:

    The Sales Enablement & Proposal Manager is responsible for streamlining and optimizing the sales support functions, ensuring that the sales team has the necessary tools, processes, and resources to win deals efficiently. This role focuses on improving quoting, proposal development, data integrity, and process automation while overseeing a team of sales support specialists.

     

    This position is a process-driven leader who works cross-functionally to improve efficiency, enhance sales workflows, and ensure that proposals are both competitive and compliant. The manager will work closely with sales, operations, and engineering teams to improve turnaround times, data accuracy, and sales effectiveness.

    Job Description:

    + Lead process improvements in sales support functions, reducing bottlenecks in quoting, proposals, and documentation

    + Standardize quoting and proposal workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy

    + Ensure quoting & selection data is clean, structured, and actionable for decision-making

    + Work closely with sales leadership and internal stakeholders to identify gaps and implement automation or technology solutions for efficiency gains

    + Manage a team responsible for quoting, proposal development, submittals, and RFP processing

    + Set clear KPIs for response times, win rates, and process adherence to ensure effectiveness

    + Provide coaching and development opportunities to the sales support team

    + Partner with sales, engineering & operations, ensuring alignment and support for the field sales teams and customers

    + Oversee the development of competitive and compliant proposals, working closely with sellers

    + Implement best practices for quoting and proposal development, ensuring high-quality submissions

    + Support strategic deal structuring by providing insights into pricing, product selection trends, and customer preferences

    + Collaborate with marketing or product teams to maintain an updated repository of product documentation, case studies, and sales collateral to enhance proposals

    + Track key proposal performance metrics, such as win/loss rates, turnaround time, and approval cycle time

    + Provide data-driven insights and reports to senior leadership to support decision-making.

    + Ensure that CRM and proposal tracking tools are optimized and updated regularly

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree

    + 6+ years of experience in sales operations, inside sales, sales enablement, process improvement, or proposal management

    + 2+ years of people management experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or Operations

    + Experience managing teams responsible for quoting, proposals, and sales support functions

    + Strong understanding of sales process optimization and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)

    + Problem-solving skills and the ability to streamline complex processes

    + project management and cross-functional collaboration skills

    + Prior selling experience

    + Experience in B2B industries such as HVAC, industrial equipment, or construction-related sales

    + Familiarity with bid/RFP processes and contract documentation

    + Knowledge of automation tools, workflow optimization, and sales enablement platforms

    + Strong understanding of pricing structures and competitive proposal positioning

    + Experience working with Power BI, Excel modeling, or other sales performance analytics tools
