    In this role, you will work under the general supervisor of the Chief Radiation Therapy Technologist and your functions will include:

    + Applying ionizing radiation according to MD's prescription (3D,IMRT,SBRT,SRS,HDR)

    + Patient scheduling and appointments

    + Performing dose calculations

    + Treatment data entry

    + Working with physicians, physicists and dosimetrists to perform simulations and treatment planning CT's

     

    May be hired as Radiation Therapist if you possess less than 5 years of experience.

     

    Salary Range Senior Radiation Therapist: $66.04 - $87.12 Hourly

     

    Salary Range Radiation Therapist: $61.60 - $81.28 Hourly

    Qualifications

    Required:

    + ARRT License

    + CRT License

    + 5 or more years radiation therapy experience

    + BLS/CPR from American Heart Association or American Red Cross

    + Skill in working with different types of treatment machines such as MR Scanner, CT Scanner, HDR units and Linear Accelerators and ability to recognize when hazardous conditions may exist

    + Truebeam, Tomotherapy, Novalis, CT and MR guided RT experience

    + Ability to lift cerrobend blocks weighing up to 35 pounds.

    + Knowledge of basic physics as applicable to Radiation Therapy.

    + Ability to use an electronic calculator to perform dose calculations.

    + Skill in communicating various technical aspects of Radiation Therapy at a level understood by patients.

    + Skill in recognizing and reporting any adverse patient therapy reactions.

    + Knowledge of the principles and applications of thermo-luminescent dosimeters.

    + Skill in reading documents written with medical terminology and ability to read and implement computer-generated physics treatment plans.

    + Knowledge of basic nursing procedures.

    + Working knowledge of University procedures regarding isolation of immuno-suppressed patients.

    + Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with physicians and physicists.

    Preferred:

    + Aria and Epic experience - preferred
