    St. Mary’s Healthcare is seeking a BC/BE Neurologist to join our expanding neurology program in Amsterdam, NY.     Responsibilities:

    + Diagnose and treat a variety of neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and migraines.

    + Perform and interpret EEGs, EMGs, and nerve conduction studies.

    + Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists to deliver integrated neurological care.

    + Provide both outpatient and inpatient consultations as needed.

    + Educate patients and families on neurological disorders, treatment plans, and preventative care.

    + Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development.

    Qualifications:

    Required Credentials - Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of New York

     

    Preferred Experience - Fellowship training or interest in stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, headache medicine, or neuromuscular diseases is preferred but not required.

     

    Education - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution

     

    Skills - Strong clinical, diagnostic, and patient-centered communication skills

    Compensation & Benefits:

    + Base Salary Range - $253,177 - $374,800 (commensurate with experience).

    + Competitive compensation package, including base salary + sign-on bonus & semiannual bonuses for productivity and patient satisfaction

    + Generous Paid Time Off (PTO)

    + Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance

    + Retirement plans with employer contributions

    + Relocation assistance and annual CME allowance of $4,000 and 40 hours

    + Potential eligibility for loan repayment programs due to our HPSA designation

    + Occurrence based Mal Practice coverage

    This role requires advanced clinical expertise, critical thinking, and the ability to diagnose and manage a diverse range of neurological conditions, from routine outpatient cases to complex inpatient consultations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered neurological care.

    Personal Protective Equipment:

    Adherence to Standard Precautions and utilization of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) are mandatory to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.
