Job Summary and Qualifications
Job Summary:
+ This individual will support Physical Security Staffing under the direction of the Director of Security Staffing for HCA facilities where security staff are utilized or needed, including all locations in the United States and HCA's International business units.
+ The individual will be responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing all aspects of a comprehensive security staffing program for all HCA facilities, including acute care, non-acute care, and individual lines of business where security staff are utilized or needed.
+ The manager will have significant influence working in a highly complex and collaborative environment, creating best practices and industry-leading strategies. This individual will work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement or next-level progress and drive the execution of identified solutions.
+ He or she must be able to operate in a complex and matrixed organization to ensure a high-quality program is delivered at all levels while maintaining financial responsibility. This individual must exercise influence and achieve progress by developing and communicating a data-driven and risk-based approach to security staffing. Building and leveraging strategic relationships with HCA and vendor partners is critical to the position’s success.
+ The manager assists the director with developing and providing security staffing solutions to ensure the security and safety of HCA colleagues, clinical teams, and assets and may supervise directly or indirectly security staff members across various security programs and groups.
+ This dynamic individual consistently works under ever-changing conditions and is viewed as an authority in physical security staffing.
Responsibilities:
+ Develop and implement vendor management strategies to ensure compliance with performance expectations, contract terms, and industry best practices.
+ Define key performance indicators (KPIs) or benchmarks used to assess vendor success. Review performance metrics, monitor vendor performance, and develop and work through action plans to continuously improve the staffing program.
+ Prioritization of the strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders and the Director of Staffing to set priorities based on risk, resources, and business priorities.
+ Lead frequent interaction with key stakeholders from the group, division, market, facilities, and various Lines of Business.
+ Evaluate performance metrics and vendor performance, work through action plans to continuously improve the staffing program.
+ Monitors training standards that are met by security officers, including the adoption of de-escalation training, use of force, customer service, and other topics as appropriate.
+ Designs, develops, and implements solid business and value measure/metrics, trending, and benchmarking
+ Assist in implementing strategies to get the best level of service out of the security vendors.
+ Partners with Regional Security Directors as needed to assist with security staffing and performance related needs.
Education & Experience:
+ Bachelor’s Degree – Required
+ 1+ years of experience in a leadership role – Required
+ Experience with vendor management, contract management and staffing
+ 3+ years of experience in security, military and/or law enforcement
+ Master’s Degree – Preferred
