Statement of the job
UMFK is seeking to hire a Customer Relationship (CRM) and Social Media Manager.
The primary responsibility of the Customer Relationship (CRM) and Social Media Manager is to set up, create, manage, track, and report on communications to support new student enrollment efforts. This position reports to the Executive Director of Marketing and Brand Management and collaborates with Admissions to design and implement effective CRM communication strategies, customizing CRM software to meet the strategic needs for each target audience, maintain data integrity within the CRM and outside software services, develop and maintain messaging and manage the input of various data sources. This position is responsible for researching, and recommending CRM and Text Messaging add-ons, integrations, and other tools needed to support communication efforts, and is responsible for providing training and support for users. The position will also manage social media marketing efforts and will be integral to developing unique content to reach prospective and current students, community stakeholders, and beyond. The manager will also be responsible for following brand standards and personality, securing proper placement for content, and working with the Executive Director for advertising recommendations.
The salary for this position is $54,000 plus a 10% employer contribution to the UMS retirement plan. Essential Duties: (Note: The University reserves the right to change or assign additional duties as necessary)
+ Oversees a diverse communication plan that includes the use and creation of texting campaigns, call campaigns, Marketing Cloud email journeys and a social media presence.
+ Use Marketing Cloud, Form Titan, Linvio, and Apsona to support recruitment efforts.
+ Create and maintain UMFK Admissions’ social media presence on a variety of social media platforms.
+ Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and continuously refine an evolving social media marketing plan.
+ Create and maintain Salesforce reports that assist with recruitment efforts, provide information for individual programs and track the progress of students through the admissions funnel.
+ Collaborate with various members of the faculty and staff to create videos and other messaging campaigns that highlight various programs and all aspects of the campus community.
+ Strategize, design, implement and manage integrated mixed-media communication plans to support new enrollment at the University. Closely manage all communication plans (prospect, applicant, and admitted students) for admissions.
+ Oversee the implementation of recommendations of the Executive Director, including drafting content, implementing complex communication plans, tracking communication efforts, and providing complex reporting support.
+ Provide analysis and feedback to the Executive Director concerning communication campaigns to determine the effectiveness of communications, travel, and events. Make recommendations to the AVP on improvements, gaps, and efficiency.
+ Assign permissions and support training, implementation, and usage of CRM by all Admissions users.
+ Direct CRM operations that pertain to security, maintaining data structure, and data integrity.
+ Act as the point of contact for the CRM Salesforce platform.
+ Represent UMFK at appropriate campus and system-level meetings/committees relating to communications/events and CRM software.
+ Other similar duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
+ Strong aptitude for learning new technical skills and systems.
+ The ability to work independently and seek out assistance as needed.
+ Strong planning, problem solving and analytical skills.
+ Strong skills in graphic design and writing
+ Experience in recruitment and a strong understanding of the recruitment process.
Reporting Relationship: Reports to Executive Director of Marketing and Brand Management
Functional Relationships: Works closely with the Executive Director of Marketing and Brand Management, all members of the Admissions team, and maintains relationships with faculty and enrollment-related offices and staff, i.e. Financial Aid, Athletics, and Advising.
Budget Responsibilities: Adherence to University and departmental financial policies and budget expectations.
Campus/University Service: Occasional service on campus, community or system committees as requested.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
+ An outgoing, positive, professional manner; strong presentation, listening, and written, visual, and verbal communication skills; ability to connect, motivate, and inspire people, especially youth; perseverance; attention to detail; excellent organizational skills; ability to relate to a diverse pool of prospective college students with tact, diplomacy and discretion; ability to manage multiple projects; flexibility to work both independently and as part of a team; and excellent computer skills required. Marketing communications experience is required. Knowledge of college or university admissions processes and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, relational databases, and graphics programs preferred.
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree and required knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above, or an equivalency of knowledge and experience.
+ Evidence of strong visual and written communication skills through graphic design and writing.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of social media platforms.
+ Marketing communications experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or multi-step email marketing campaign software.
+ Experience in managing social media communications across platforms.
+ Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar graphics programs.
+ Experience in Admissions recruiting a plus.
