Hearing Instrument Coordinator

Completes clinical and clerical duties with a primary focus on providing clinical services for hearing aid patients. Assists the audiologists in hearing aid related duties as well as specific audiologic tasks. Checks the acoustical operation of malfunctioning hearing aids and repair if possible or mail to the manufacturer for repair. Returns repaired hearing aid to patients. Completes appropriate medical record documentation. Provides direct clinical services to hearing ait patients on an appointment basis. Organizes and maintains sale of hearing aid batteries and other hearing aid-related productions.
Associate degree or have earned 60 credits toward a baccalaureate in any field or have earned Board Certification by the National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Services. Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and electronic communication desired. The ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment essential. New Hampshire Hearing Aid Dispenser license required; or must be accepted into the internal training program and obtain license within six months of employment. (Supplemental on-the-job training in preparation fr licensure exam provided.).
