Description We are looking for a highly skilled Divisional/Plant Controller to join our team on a long-term contract basis in DeSoto, Kansas. In this role, you will oversee financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards while supporting the leadership team with critical financial insights. This position is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail and a solid background in accounting and financial management within the paper/packaging industry.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

• Oversee the monthly and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.

• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

• Develop and monitor annual budgets to align with organizational goals and objectives.

• Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational and strategic initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.

• Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Proficiency in managing monthly and annual financial close processes.

• Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and financial analysis.

• Experience in budget preparation and monitoring.

• Familiarity with financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance.

• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with various departments.
