Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Analyst to oversee payroll operations and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. This role involves collaborating with teams across the organization to optimize payroll processes and ensure accurate employee compensation. As part of a long-term contract, you will play a crucial role in maintaining seamless payroll functions while driving improvements in efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
• Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in Gross-to-Net calculations.
• Coordinate payroll implementations, upgrades, and transitions while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
• Conduct audits of payroll systems to verify compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Resolve discrepancies in payroll data, including issues related to tax filings, benefits deductions, and wage garnishments.
• Prepare and manage payroll-related reports, including tax filings, direct deposits, and retirement contributions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address payroll inquiries and streamline operational workflows.
• Monitor multi-state payrolls to ensure compliance with varying tax regulations.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables and v-lookups, to analyze payroll data effectively.
• Support certification initiatives and maintain updated knowledge of payroll systems and accounting principles.
• Provide recommendations to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency. Requirements
• Proven experience in payroll processing, including Gross-to-Net calculations.
• Hands-on experience with payroll implementation projects and system transitions.
• Proficiency in payroll system ERP FRONTLINE escape.
• Familiarity with multi-state payrolls and associated tax regulations.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
• Certified Payroll designation or progress toward certification is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and impeccable attention to detail.
• Excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
