Overview

Ensures efficiency of daily warehouse services and personnel assigned. Responsible for supervising and monitoring the activities of first shift selectors and equipment in accordance company service requirements on a daily basis.

Position:Warehouse Supervisor - Receiving

Scheule:Monday - Friday, 3:00 am start

Compensation:Competitive salary with bonus potential. Paid weekly.

Responsibilities

+ Supervises, instructs, and monitors warehouse employee’s production efficiencies and error performance daily.

+ Supervises, instructs, and conducts regular training to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with all OSHA and NDCP safety practices and guidelines.

+ Provides supervision, counseling, and coaching of warehouse employees to ensure compliance with operating standards and to assist with problems.

+ Responsible for ensuring employees in their respective functional areas have adequate training and tools necessary to meet defined job requirements.

+ Deploys warehouse employees and distributes daily workloads to ensure route departure times are met.

+ Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings, training sessions and seminars as required.

+ Assists in administering random drug screening of employees.

+ Performs other functions as required by management.

+ Ensure that the cleanliness of the warehouse meets or exceeds FDA and OSHA guidelines.

+ Delegate cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members when required.

+ Monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as the general warehouse, Freezer/cooler, offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces.

+ May perform routine maintenance on facilities and make repairs as needed and/or schedule routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.

+ Maintain day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders and preparing facilities for changing weather conditions.

+ Ensure employees in their respective functional areas have adequate training and tools necessary to meet defined job requirements.

+ Maintain accuracy of all data reported, consistently evolve existing reports, and create new ones as needed.

Supervision Exercised

This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

+ 5 years previous supervisory experience or equivalent required

+ 3 years warehousing or distribution experience required

+ Must have freezer environment experience

+ Food and beverage industry experience required

+ Proficient with a Warehouse Management System (WMS), Retalix preferred

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills demonstrated while interacting at all levels of the organization

+ Exceptional customer service skills.

+ Flexibility in work hours/days; ability to adapt to business needs

+ High School Diploma or equivalent required

+ Strong analytical and problem resolution skills

+ Results oriented with the ability to follow through without constant supervision

+ Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and remain organized

+ Ability to prioritize and complete tasks and responsibilities in an ever changing and fast paced environment

Physical Demands

+ Ability to perform work at a desk or sit/stand workstation for extended periods of time

+ Ability to operate a computer keyboard and to view a computer screen for extended periods of time

+ Ability to interact with employees and/or customers in Distribution Center or customer locations

+ Ability to travel to customer locations, other Distribution Centers, Corporate Office, etc. as needed

+ Ability to lift, tug, pull up to fifteen (15) pounds
