The Assistant Director is responsible for the development of the residential learning curriculum for approximately 8,000 students in university housing and 12,000 students residing in off campus housing.The Assistant Director will develop and implement departmental initiatives related to residential learning and assessment. This includes furthering partnerships across the campus and the Division to support student growth and development, The Assistant Director also will develop and implement the department's assessment plan and coordinate initiatives related to the plan, which includes conducting assessment projects, disseminating the findings, and training Student Living staff on assessment practices.The Assistant Director directly supervises a graduate assistant. This role is a live-on position. As such, the Assistant Director is expected to work some evenings and weekends due to commitments related to staff training and oversight of initiatives in the department's. Moreover, the Assistant Director is expected to serve in the Division of Student Experience's on-call rotation and may be asked to represent the department in crisis situations involving students, parents, and supporters.
