CLASIFICATION (FLSA): ü Exempt o Non-Exempt
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: responsible for coordinating and facilitating training and development initiatives in accordance with applicable laws, organization policies, procedures and capacity-building needs. Responsible for designing initiatives and tools to drive performance management, professional development planning, resource retention, engagement, and culture change across the organization, including the implementation of induction and onboarding processes, training and development programs, engagement initiatives, and recognition, among others.
TASKS AND ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Responsible for executing organizational development processes, such as the induction and onboarding of new staff, facilitating and designing training, orientations, and workshops for talent development, also, evaluating engagement levels, and change initiative’s impact on organizational culture.
+ Perform needs assessment methods to determine possible training and development initiatives and design action plans, in collaboration with supervisors and subject matter experts.
+ Monitor and measure the impact of induction, onboarding, training, development, engagement, and change initiatives on performance, efficiency, retention, and job satisfaction, to identify areas of opportunity.
+ Review, update and develop training and development presentations, processes, tools, and materials, such as outlines, text, handouts, and video training.
+ Coordinate training and development initiatives with internal and external resources that include: identification of audience and training method, scheduling, confirmation of attendance, reservation and preparation of location, preparation of training materials, and preparation of technological resources, serving as the liaison between presenter and participants, and others.
+ Track training and development programs progress, wish include employees participation, and attendance, and provide follow-up.
+ Support performance management processes by offering a continuous improvement of process, forms, tools/resources, communication, and timeline; provide system management, data and skill gaps analysis, and support the creation of individual development plans.
+ Research, identify, and provide best practices relevant to current talent and organization development processes.
+ Maintain professional and technical knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies; by attending educational workshops that are assigned and comply with regulatory training.
+ Perform any other task requested by the supervisor.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
+ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Organizational Psychology or related area, from a recognized college or university.
+ Certification or experience in change management, coaching, training & development preferred.
+ Two (2) years of similar experience (providing training, workshops, consultations).
+ Advanced knowledge of computer programs and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Forms, etc.).
+ Personnel and Human Resources — Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
+ Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
+ English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
+ Law and Government — Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.
+ Education and Training — Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
+ Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
+ Psychology — Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
+ Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates — Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
+ Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships — Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
+ Resolving Conflicts and Negotiating with Others — Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
+ Making Decisions and Solving Problems — Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
+ Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards — Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
+ Provide Consultation and Advice to Others — Providing guidance and expert advice to management or other groups on technical, systems-, or process-related topics.
+ Training and Teaching Others — Identifying the educational needs of others, developing formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaching or instructing others.
+ Developing and Building Teams — Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team member
+ Coaching and Developing Others — Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
+ Developing Objectives and Strategies — Establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them.
+ Monitoring and Controlling Resources — Monitoring and controlling resources and overseeing the spending of money.
+ Staffing Organizational Units — Recruiting, interviewing, selecting, hiring, and promoting employees in an organization.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
+ Normal internal office environment with some travel to Club locations across Puerto Rico. Availability to engage funders on evenings and weekends are a core part of this position. Frequent internal contacts with employees throughout organization required.
