    Summary

    The Land Survey Department is comprised of 38 survey techs and field surveyors that support SRP construction and land rights acquisition for internal and external customers. Candidate will work in the office under minimal supervision, coordinating and completing technical survey work/drafting assignments for the Land Survey Department to support both internal and external customer projects. They will work on a variety of survey related assignments involving analysis of field measurements, land right documents and design plans to create a working CAD file for design, construction layout, and prepare easement exhibits and legal descriptions for easement acquisition.

    What You'll Do

    • Research and review of land rights such as deeds, surveys, plats and SRP easements.

    • Performs necessary calculations and for construction staking and layout of electrical facilities.

    • Prepares CAD drawings of existing\proposed land rights for design and construction.

    • Communicate with SRP designers and Land Analysts about existing and proposed land rights.

    • Review and understand design plans for construction.

    What It Takes To Succeed

    • Good working knowledge of land rights and land survey principals.

    • Ability to research land rights on county websites and internal GIS programs

    • Excellent communication skills

    • Excellent CAD drafting skills

    • Excellent project management skills

    • Works well in a team environment

    Experience

    At job entry, placement will be determined by a review of college transcripts and related work experience. A minimum of 6 years of related experience is required for the senior level. Once placed into the job family, an employee may become eligible for promotion by demonstrating the ability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by their management and meeting experience requirements.

    Education

    College level coursework (100+) related to the position from an accredited institution is preferred.

     

    Hybrid Workplace

     

    SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
