    Facilities Specialist III - Cayuga

     

    Mozaic is hiring for a Facilities Specialist III. This position will be responsible for providing general plumbing, heating, electrical, and carpentry skills for the repair and preventive maintenance of all physical buildings throughout the Agency. We are willing to hire a Facilities Specialist II and train up to Facilities III.

    Facilities Specialist Duties:

    This role involves fixing damage and equipment breakdowns at Agency facilities, ensuring all repairs follow building codes. Responsibilities include general repairs on structures, plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and outdoor components. Maintaining proper temperatures and environmental conditions, renovating facilities, and installing systems as directed are also required. Routine preventive maintenance on equipment and providing technical support to other staff are necessary. Monthly preventive maintenance checks must be completed before the last day of the month. Operating various equipment, troubleshooting electrical circuits, and managing computer and telephone wiring are essential tasks. The role includes removing snow and ice, maintaining an inventory of melting materials, and notifying the supervisor when supplies are low. The ability to handle and repair assets over 45 pounds and adherence to Agency Policies and Procedures are required.

    Facilities Specialist Requirements:

    Ability to read, write, and do basic arithmetic and at least two years of experience in the building maintenance field or its equivalent. General carpentry, electrical, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning knowledge and expertise. A valid NYS driver's license that is acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier. The ability to interact with the maintenance supervisor and other maintenance technicians to accomplish tasks and projects in a timely manner and per direction or plan.

     

    Pay Range: $19.00 - $20.00

     

    Schedule: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm Monday thru Friday

     

    Could be called in for emergencies.

     

    35 hours per week
