    Job Description

    The Internal Asset Review Manager is responsible for management of a team of Credit Analysts supporting the Commercial Mortgage Division (CMD). CMD is a small balance term lending program, specializing in loans secured by stabilized multifamily properties in strong markets. Responsibilities include risk assessment and monitoring of the existing loan portfolio comprising more than 1,000 mortgages.

    Major Responsibilities:

    + 30%: Manage IAR analysts. Assessing all staffing requirements; training, coaching, and writing and delivering all annual and interim performance reviews. Recommending compensation changes, promotions, and transfers. Interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and terminating individuals.

    + 30%: Manage workflow and processes to ensure timely, high-quality completion of reviews while efficiently using resources: Propose and improve policies and procedures which will allow for better, more productive Portfolio management. Review and approve all annual reviews within specified approval authority limits and recommend over limit reviews to senior officers and/or Credit Administration.

    + 30%: Assess and manage portfolio risk, individual loan risk ratings and problem credits: Provide guidance and direction on portfolio loan reviews, as necessary, to ensure the proper risk rating based on individual loan. Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the Bank's lending policies and procedures and identify deviations from policy. Assist with audit reviews.

    + 5%: Prepare management reports of Portfolio performance and forecasting on monthly and semi-annual basis and/or as requested.

    + 5%: Interface with Real Estate Special Assets Department to facilitate the transition of credits back and forth between the groups.

    Basic Qualifications

    - Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent work experience

     

    - Eight or more years of commercial banking/lending experience

     

    - Two or more years of management experience in a commercial credit environment

    Preferred Skills/Experience

    - Thorough knowledge of credit policies, procedures and terminology

     

    -Ability to attract, build and retain a strong team.

     

    -Excellent organizational skills

     

    - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

     

    - Well-developed presentation, verbal and written communication skills

     

    - Listens effectively and probes for new ideas and solutions.

     

    The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days

    The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $139,230.00 - $163,800.00 - $180,180.00
