Position Summary

As a **Director of Solution Architecture** , you will be the strategic and technical leader responsible for shaping the end-to-end architecture that powers our **multi-cloud connected ecosystem** includes millions of IoT devices, trillions of datapoints, partner integrations, and intuitive end-user experiences across mobile and web.

You will lead architecture governance and innovation across cloud platforms (primarily Azure), data pipelines, APIs, and modern applications, while aligning technology strategy with the goals of our global Product & Solutions Organization. This role is instrumental in mission to deliver on scalable, secure design, cost effective **innovative solutions that deliver sustainable value across our products and services** , bridging business needs with world-class engineering to accelerate platform convergence, standardization, and delivery velocity with standard interfaces and reusable components across the delivery pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

+ **Architecture Strategy & Governance**

+ Define and enforce architectural standards, patterns, and best practices across all digital products.

+ Lead the Architecture Review Board and drive alignment with enterprise-wide technology roadmaps.

+ Evaluate and recommend technologies that accelerate innovation while reducing complexity and technical debt.

+ **Cloud & Platform Leadership**

+ Architect scalable backend systems on **Azure** (and other public clouds) for real-time device telemetry, API integrations, and cross-region resilience.

+ Drive modernization efforts with microservices, event-driven architecture, and platform convergence strategies.

+ Lead platform initiatives supporting high-scale IoT ecosystems and global partner integrations.

+ **Security & Privacy by Design**

+ Embed secure design principles and privacy compliance into every phase of the solution lifecycle.

+ Collaborate with cybersecurity architects and data privacy managers to ensure governance standards are met.

+ **Cross-Functional Collaboration**

+ Translate complex business requirements into architectural strategies that span web, mobile, cloud, and data domains.

+ Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Security, and Data teams to ensure cohesive solution delivery.

+ **Mentorship & Talent Development**

+ Lead and mentor a team of Solution, Cloud, UI, IoT, and Data Architects.

+ Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Required Qualifications

+ 15+ years of software architecture and development experience, including 5+ in a senior architecture leadership role focus on delivering end-user products.

+ Deep expertise in designing large-scale, cloud-native systems (preferably in **Azure** , plus multi-cloud exposure).

+ Proven track record in **IoT backends** , **API ecosystems** , **platform strategy** , and **data-intensive architectures** .

+ Hands on Experience in defining target architectures aligned with modern architecture and design best practices with deep knowledge of mobile/web architecture (React, Flutter, native apps), standards, and observability practices.

+ Experience in architectural governance and cross-domain solution delivery.

+ Strong foundation in privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance integration with In-depth knowledge of global data protection requirements, compliance regulations (such as GDPR), and certifications (e.g., SOC-2, ISO 27001).

+ Expertise in cloud solutions, data modeling, database concepts, and architectural design.

+ Strong background in implementing architecture standards and best practices.

+ Experience building a highly performing team and strong collaborative relationships among stakeholders.

+ Experience in negotiation and communication at a leadership level.

+ Strong organizational skills, project and time management skills, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience in the smart home, security, or connected device industries.

+ Familiarity with TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture frameworks.

+ Experience leading global teams across multiple product portfolios.
