Michelle Espejo with Robert Half Finance & Accounting is recruiting for a Fund Accountant at a prominent private equity firm in San Jose. This is a full-time, permanent role with a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

+ Take the lead on quarterly close processes for multiple fund entities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

+ Prepare detailed distribution and capital call calculations, along with notice letters, to keep stakeholders informed.

+ Support annual external audits, playing a crucial role in maintaining compliance and transparency.

+ Assist in resolving technical accounting issues and monitor cash management to ensure financial health.

+ Respond to both scheduled and ad hoc information requests from limited partners, fostering strong relationships.

+ Contribute to operational due diligence processes in collaboration with fundraising efforts, ensuring a robust investment strategy.

Requirements

+ 3+ years of experience in private equity accounting.

+ CPA is a plus

+ Big Four experience at the junior manager level is highly preferred.

+ Familiarity with the PE/VC industry or relevant audit experience in this space.

+ Proven ability to identify issues, recommend solutions, and implement effective strategies.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, complemented by excellent interpersonal abilities.

+ Experience with Investran is a significant advantage.

+ Must demonstrate a strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset, valuing integrity, responsibility, and accountability.
