Position Summary

The Accounting Manager will oversee critical accounting functions while supervising a team of 3–4 staff members. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this position is ideal for someone with a desire to grow within a large corporate environment with a history of promoting from within. The selected candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and be instrumental in streamlining processes, ensuring compliance, and driving team success.

Key Responsibilities

+ Supervise and mentor a team of 3–4 accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily workflows.

+ Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and financial statement preparation.

+ Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

+ Review and analyze financial reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

+ Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses as part of financial planning efforts.

+ Oversee internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure reliable financial reporting.

+ Work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders to support organizational goals.

+ Engage in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.

Requirements

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of public and private accounting experience, strong leadership skills, and a results-driven mindset. Key qualifications include:

+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.

+ CPA is a plus

+ Experience:

+ 4+ years of relevant accounting experience.

+ Background in both public accounting and private industry accounting is strongly preferred.

+ 1+ year of supervisory experience leading an accounting team or staff.

+ Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel, with the ability to manage complex reconciliations and reporting.

+ Strengths:

+ Strong communication and leadership abilities to guide and motivate a team.

+ Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Attention to detail with an ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
