    Litigation Paralegal

     

    Our client, a leading law firm seeks an experienced litigation paralegal to join our growing team. Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certification, and 5 plus years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal. The practice areas for this position include personal injury, property damage, and insurance bad faith. A successful candidate will be a team-player, be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters, and feel comfortable taking the initiative and managing their cases. Paralegals are responsible for: conducting investigations; research; collecting records; preparing and filing pleadings; case management, including calendaring, assistance with expert witnesses, trial preparation and trial. Our client offers a competitive salary upto $85,000 a year, dependent on experience, 100% medical insurance premium paid by employer, 401k eligibility after 1 year with employer paid contribution regardless of employee contribution, 100% FAMLI premium payment by employer, annual wellness and technology stipends, and a congenial work environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Conducting investigations

    • Research: fact and basic legal

    • Collecting records

    • Preparing and filing pleadings

    • Assist with case management, including calendaring, assistance with expert witnesses, trial preparation and trial

    • Organize and electronically file pleadings

    Requirements • Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certification is required.

     

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal.

    • Proficiency in case management software and tools such as Aderant and CompuLaw.

    • Strong knowledge of civil litigation processes and defense strategies.

    • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat for document preparation and editing.

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    • Ability to handle complex litigation matters independently.

    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
