    Description

    We are looking for a dedicated Customer Relations Specialist to join our team in Boston, MA. In this long-term contract role (Possible Temp to Hire) you will play a key part in managing client interactions, addressing payment inquiries, and supporting customers facing financial challenges. This position offers the opportunity to work with a mission-driven organization committed to social and economic justice.

    Responsibilities:

    • Respond promptly to customer inquiries by providing payment details, managing payment adjustments, and explaining billing or documentation information.

    • Collaborate with management and third-party billing partners to ensure accurate escrow analyses and billing details.

    • Maintain organized correspondence with clients and applicants, delivering timely responses to inquiries.

    • Engage with delinquent clients to understand their situations, encourage timely payments, and explore solutions to resolve arrearages.

    • Refer clients to the Loss Mitigation Manager when necessary and utilize capital reserve accounts to address delinquencies appropriately.

    • Record all client interactions in mortgage servicing systems, such as Encompass, and generate timely reports.

    • Support process improvements and actively participate in team and organizational meetings.

    • Assist in clearing backlogs by processing applications and performing other duties as assigned.

     

    Requirements • At least 2 years of experience in mortgage operations, including originations, servicing, or loss mitigation.

     

    • Strong customer service skills with the ability to assist clients facing foreclosure.

    • Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage regulations and compliance standards.

    • Proven ability to manage high workloads, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.

    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Familiarity with Encompass or other loan origination software is preferred.
