Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design packaging and material handling equipment. This role involves working on large systems, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings, utilizing Solidworks for machine design and conveyor systems.

Responsibilities

+ Design packaging and material handling equipment

+ Create and manage shop drawings and fabrication drawings

+ Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMS)

+ Detail large systems

+ Utilize Solidworks for 2D drafting and 3D design

Essential Skills

+ BS in Mechanical Engineering

+ Proficient with Solidworks

+ Experience in 2D drafting and 3D design

+ Experience detailing large systems

+ Familiarity with shop drawings and fabrication drawings

+ Experience with Bills of Materials (BOMS)

+ GPA of 3.5 or higher required

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with conveyor systems

+ Experience in machine design

Work Environment

You will be working in a rapidly growing company that has recently outgrown its facility and is building a new one next door. Initially, you will be working out of a trailer until the new facility is ready. This position offers extensive training, real-world skill development, and opportunities for mobility across different business units. After a six-month contract, there is the potential for a raise and permanent employment based on performance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
