What is the job about?
The Associate Proposal Engineer will contribute to a thriving Projects team by providing timely and effective technical advice for the incoming inquiries through various Customer channels i.e. telephone, E-mail, instant messaging etc. Provide subject matter technical support with delivering world class Customer Service by handling complex and escalated inquiries/quotations for the customers. Support and guide Project Proposals team. This position reports directly to the proposal manager and will operate on a hybrid schedule out of our Brookshire, TX site.
Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support. **Your main responsibilities** :
+ Provide customers and sales team with technical assistance and product information.
+ Review product specifications and provide proper compliance documentation.
+ Provide custom costing and prepare formal quotations following the delegation and authority procedures.
+ Produce estimated dimensions, weights, and electrical information.
+ Assess advanced product applications to determine proper selection of pumps.
+ Advise customers, and sales team, and provide technical application and product training, and manage escalation calls.
+ Collaborate with internal departments and suppliers to create price quote for non-standard products where list price is not readily available.
+ Guide non-approved customers to the appropriate channel partner or Regional Sales Manager.
+ Assist customers with troubleshooting, advanced product coordination and special-order handling.
+ Work collaboratively within a team environment to prepare quotation packages, review project specifications including technical deviations lists as required, with some assistance from a Senior Proposal Engineer, tools may include CRM and MS office software.
+ Conduct product related technical analysis for internal and external audiences.
+ Prepare and store on a shared server all documentation needed for Project Execution.
+ Conduct handover meetings with Project Execution to ensure job-specific information passes efficiently.
**Your background** :
We imagine that you have:
Qualified candidates will possess a four-year technical or engineering degree. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Industrial Engineering or other technical degree required, or a combination of training, education, and experience.
Additionally have 1 to 2 years of customer service experience and we prefer but not required engineering professional experience, with a pump and/or modular solutions manufacturer.
+ Demonstrate working knowledge SAP (CRM/SD).
+ Can effectively handle several challenging problems or tasks at once.
+ Must be willing to share information, advice, and suggestions to help others to be more successful.
+ Proven experience to anticipate customer’s future needs.
+ Must be able to filter and control emotions in a constructive way.
+ Good communication and networking skills together with the ability to build strong and trusting relationships with both Internal and External Stakeholders.
+ Must work effectively in a team environment
A willingness to travel up to 10% if necessary. As a result, candidates should be able to maintain valid identification.
