The Senior Financial Analyst will support the SOL’s DoD contracts by tracking and reporting the financial health to the respective Associate Directors and Associate Director for the Business Operations. This role will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Responsibilities
Performs analytical and evaluative work requiring a comprehensive knowledge of theory and principles; financial and management organization, operations, and practices; pertinent statutory or regulatory provisions; and related basic economic, accounting, and legal principles.
+ Supports budget, billing, reporting, and financial management for IT initiatives.
+ Analyzes the organization's past and present financial data and estimates future revenues and expenditures, applying finance principles.
+ Runs and documents financial analysis projects.
+ Aids organization with financial functions, such as assessing, auditing, planning, budgeting, taxes, consolidation, cost control, and project control.
+ Evaluates and analyzes capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, financial statements, etc.
+ Will participate as a team member of a specific customer’s program, providing financial support and analysis for that area of responsibility and reporting financial health to the Associate Director for Business Operations.
+ Reviews and analyzes financial reports provided by the government to determine the financial performance of the area of responsibility, seek out discrepancies, and determine justifications for existing ULOs outside of current execution benchmarks as defined by the OSD.
+ Supports funding requests for customer programs and Buy-In funds based on in-depth analysis that directs the execution rate.
+ Prepare and monitor funding requests and contract invoices throughout the funding lifecycle.
+ Support all financial and budgetary analysis and create reports required for the program for all budgeted functional areas.
+ Must attend weekly Program & Management finance meetings.
+ Answer data calls from the Associate Director for Business Operations.
Requirements and Qualifications
+ Must have an educational degree from an Accredited Institution and relevant years of experience.
+ Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments.
+ Plans and leads major technology assignments.
+ Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
+ Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
+ May supervise others.
