Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team at Grand Canyon National Park in Grand Canyon, Arizona. As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for handling all general maintenance work orders and preventative maintenance. What will you do?
+ Complete general maintenance requests, ensuring timely completion, thoroughness, and cost-effectiveness, and perform advanced maintenance and repairs related to the preventive maintenance program
+ Assist in maintaining water softeners according to the preventive maintenance schedule, including maintaining salt inventory
+ Handle multiple call-outs or work orders, operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently, and perform advanced troubleshooting on trade functions such as electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, boiler operation, and equipment repair
+ Perform carpentry and painting duties, report maintenance problems requiring trade-specific skills, and adhere to all safety, risk management, and environmental policies and procedures
+ Wear required personal protective equipment, assist in training and development of maintenance team member, and perform plowing duties
+ A valid drivers license and clean MVR is required to operate company vehicles
More about you
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in general building maintenance or in trades such as electrical, refrigeration, or plumbing
+ Advanced knowledge of general building maintenance, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair
+ Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
+ Requires drivers license and ability to safely operate company vehicle in inclement weather.
Physical requirements
+ Wear all required personal protective equipment needed to carry out assigned tasks safely.
+ Ability to enter into and work in confined and crawlspaces.
+ Will climb and descend ladders repeatedly while supporting tools and equipment.
+ Walking, bending, squatting, reaching, pulling with ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
+ Manual dexterity in the use of hands to grasp and safely operate hand and power tools and equipment.
+ Ability to work in extreme weather conditions including heat, cold, sun, wind, rain and snow.
