Transportation & Distribution Supervisor

The Supervisor Transportation and Distribution at our fragrance plant is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all transportation activities related to the movement of raw materials, finished goods, and other products within and outside the facility. This role ensures that transportation operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Your key responsibilities

+ **Transport Coordination and Leadership:** Supervise the daily operations of the transport team, plan transportation activities, and coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure timely deliveries.

+ **Team Management:** Lead, train, and motivate transport staff, conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback to enhance team effectiveness.

+ **Operational Efficiency:** Develop processes to optimize transportation efficiency, monitor key performance indicators, and implement improvements as necessary.

+ **Safety and Compliance:** Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular audits and training to foster a safety culture.

+ **Inventory Management:** Oversee handling and storage of materials to maintain inventory accuracy and coordinate with inventory teams for replenishment.

+ **Problem Resolution and Reporting:** Address operational disruptions, serve as a point of contact for inquiries, and maintain accurate documentation while preparing reports on transport operations.

You bring

+ Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPCM, APICS) are a plus.

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation management, logistics, or supply chain roles, with at least 2-5 years in a supervisory or leadership position.

+ Strong leadership and team management abilities.

+ Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

+ Proficient in transportation management systems (TMS) and SAP.

+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

+ Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements in the transportation industry.
