Southern Indiana OBGYN is looking for a passionate, full-time, Board-certified or Board-eligible Certified Nurse Midwife to join our vibrant team at the Southern Indiana OB/GYN clinic. The Family and Baby-Friendly Birthing Center at Columbus Regional Hospital provides a full range of baby delivery services, welcoming over 1,300 babies each year. Each LDRP room is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment as a designated C-Section OR suite. The Birthing Center offers two levels of nursery care and includes a physician lounge equipped with a screen for fetal monitoring of each patient.

Opportunity Highlights

Anticipated Work Schedule & Support:

+ 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday

+ Full-Time

+ No weekends or holiday rotations

+ 3 physicians, 3 Certified Nurse Midwives, 2 NPs (1 FT, 1 PT). One CNM is office-based, working specifically with high-risk OB patients and managing work-in patients. One of our NP’s is working one day per week.

CNM Job Responsibilities:

+ Office based OB and GYN care

+ IUD insertions/removals

+ Nexplanon insertions/removals

+ Endometrial biopsy

+ Polyp removal

+ I&D of lesions

+ Treatment of condyloma

+ Suturing/chemical cautery of tissue

+ Leep/Colposcopy procedures after training

+ Vaginal deliveries, VBAC deliveries

+ PLUS: Weekly call coverage for our practice (24 hour time period) x 1

Special Skills/Procedures Required : Experienced certified nurse midwife who has collaborated with an OBGYN physician in a previous role. The CNM will have their own panel of patients but will also work as an extender to the physicians of the practice.

Who You’ll Work For

Southern Indiana OBGYN began in 1996 to help address the community's need for additional OBGYN providers. Our practice has grown from two physicians in 1996 to eight providers (3 physicians and 5 APP’s) in 2025. We serve over 400 patients per week in our clinic.
