Prairie Ridge Health is looking for a team member to join our team in the role of Patient Access and Communications Manager, this position is full-time Monday-Friday, days.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager monitors and directs the daily operations of the Registration, and Communications departments. The Manager has responsibility for the hiring of employees, performance evaluations, and dismissal when appropriate. The Manager is also responsible for communicating defined expectations to the staff and providing or developing the support, skill set and competencies needed for the roles in the Centralized Scheduling, Registration, and Communications departments. The Manager has oversight of staff development and identifying the strengths of the staff, budget development, compliance with the Joint Commission, HIPAA, and other regulatory agencies. The Manager possesses an in-depth professional working knowledge and the skills required to properly perform Registration, and Communication services. The Manager coaches, mentors and recognizes staff. They are responsible for ensuring the department is staffed in accordance with established guidelines, with quality, patient safety, and fiduciary expectations in mind.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION
+ High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of applicable experience in hospital or clinic setting required.
+ A bachelor’s degree or associate degree in a healthcare related field is highly desirable.
+ 1 year of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
+ Must have expertise and in medical insurance benefits and customer service.
FTE: 1.0 (40 hours per week)
Shift: Monday-Friday, days.
