• Shipping Supervisor

    CAREER OPPORTUNITY:

    Responsible for warehousing, inventory control, and shipping. Supervision of the hourly Shipping workforce to achieve maximum sustained safety excellence, environmental compliance, quality specifications are followed, and production targets are at or above budgeted levels. The position also backs up Logistics Manager.

    HOW YOU WILL IMPACT SMURFIT WESTROCK:

    * Manages hourly crews

    * Creates the crew\u2019s weekly schedules

    * Processes payroll weekly for Crews

    * Ensure personnel are aware of plant rules and adhering to them for safety

    * Trains operators for jobs in the Shipping Department

    * Reviews warehouse inventory to maximize loading efficiency

    * Maintains warehouse inventory levels

    * Works with corporate planners to correct any issues with orders and shipments

    * Helps coordinate schedule changes due to batch inserts/recalls or shipment mode changes

    * Communicates with Supply Planning when issues arise with orders

    * Works with crews to communicate any special requirements required or policy changes

    * Manages all warehouse dunnage inventory and orders anything that is needed for shipments

    * Works with Operations Maintenance Coordinator to ensure equipment is functional

    * Interface with CSXT railroad via computer and in person

    * Communicate with the Quality Manager for adherence to quality standards

    * Perform administrative tasks for Recycle Inbound Quality Process

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

    * Leadership/Supervisory skills

    * 2+ years of related operational experience

    * High school diploma or equivalent
