    CNC Machinist | Direct Hire | ALL SHIFTS AVALIBLE | Up To $28/hr

    Job Description

    As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for reading and understanding Picture Process Map (PPM) work instructions and quality inspection sheets, and documenting all actions by completing production and quality paperwork. You will identify casting, trimming, and machining defects to ensure only quality products pass through the line. It is crucial to keep machine output at optimum parts per hour to meet deadlines. You will report discrepancies and/or CNC problems to supervisors and the quality department. Additionally, you will perform preventative maintenance tasks and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.

    Responsibilities

    + Read and understand PPM work instructions and quality inspection sheets.

    + Identify and reject defective products.

    + Maintain optimal machine output to meet production deadlines.

    + Report discrepancies and CNC issues to supervisors and quality department.

    + Perform preventative maintenance on CNC machines, including fluid checks and filter verification.

    + Maintain robot grippers, pallet conveyors, washer cleanliness, and chip conveyor flow.

    + Utilize quality measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

    + Work with tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, and other machine accessories.

    + Communicate effectively across shifts by documenting and addressing irregularities.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with CNC machining, including horizontal/vertical lathes.

    + Proficiency in using blueprints and tolerances for machine operation.

    + Ability to perform offset adjustments, change tools, and prepare tools for future use.

    + Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, indicators, and thread gauges.

    + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

    + Understanding of safety protocols and regulations for operating CNC machines.

    + Experience in safety compliance with OSHA requirements and IATF Standards.

    + High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in CNC machine programming preferred.

    + At least 1 year of work experience with CNCs preferred.

    + Ability to determine root causes for production problems and implement solutions.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment consists of a structured schedule with multiple shifts: 1st Shift - Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM; 2nd Shift - Monday to Friday, 3 PM to 11 PM; 3rd Shift - Sunday night to Thursday night, 11 PM to 7 AM. Employees are expected to adhere to a safety-oriented culture in compliance with industry standards.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Macedonia, Ohio.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $56160.00/yr.
