Job Description
As an HVAC Technician with Aerotek, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC systems. You will utilize your knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematic reading, pneumatic and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and mechanical layouts to work on various systems ranging from window air conditioning units to chillers, boilers, and rooftop units.
Responsibilities
+ Maintenance and Repair: Perform maintenance and repair on commercial HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
+ Installation: Install HVAC systems according to blueprints, schematics, and system layouts.
+ Technical Skills: Read blueprints, schematics, and system layouts to accurately perform tasks.
+ Welding and Brazing: Perform welding, brazing, soldering, or fitting when necessary.
+ Service Variety: Service a range of units including window air conditioning units, chillers, boilers, air handlers, rooftop units, and more.
Required Skills & Qualifications
+ HVAC service experience (commercial or residential).
+ Proficient electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
+ Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
+ Able to install HVAC systems.
+ Knowledge of building control systems is beneficial but not mandatory.
Work Environment
+ Diverse Settings: Candidates will work throughout Western New York to install commercial HVAC units in a variety of settings, including industrial, educational, healthcare, medical/research, retail, historic preservation, and multi-unit residential markets.
+ Safety First: The work environment involves a variety of settings, with safety being a priority. Onboarding includes a hair follicle drug test (excluding THC) and a motor vehicle check.
+ Comfortable Attire: Dress code and specific work conditions will be discussed during the onboarding process. Work hours are from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
