As a licensed clinician at Phoenix House, you will facilitate healthy relationships with our clients through providing crisis intervention and de-escalation support, clinical assessment, counseling, family therapy, referrals and even discharge planning, creating a holistic approach to sobriety and wellness for our clients.

A day in the life of our Licensed Clinicians is packed with variety and daily challenges and problems to solve. You will provide individual and group counseling as well as supervise interns and assist our clinical staff with creating treatment plans to facilitating interdisciplinary case conferences, variety is the spice of life for our licensed clinicians.
Our licensed clinicians are strong leaders who exhibit the ability to coach and develop staff, provide learning opportunities for those wishing to grow their careers and provide open and transparent collaboration among departments.
**You will have responsibilities including but not limited to** :
+ Anticipating needs of clients and staff and facilitating workshops and programs to address those needs.
+ Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop meaningful programming and resources for staff and clients.
+ Collaborating with state and local social services agencies, legal referral sources and resources, school-based stakeholders, and community-based providers of services, as needed to provide wrap around services so our clients thrive while in treatment and post treatment.
+ Facilitates case review process for all phases of treatment
+ Partners with staff and clients to facilitate effective progression of patients through the treatment process allowing them to thrive.
+ Ensures all program information, post treatment plans and supports in place driving successful outcomes post-treatment and for re-entry and sustainable sobriety and successful living when exiting our programs.
Qualifications
Job Details:
+ Long Island City Residential - Queens, NY
+ Full Time-Exempt
+ Salary range $64,400.00 - $74,998.00
+ Travel Percentage -Up to 50% within Long Island
+ Job Shift Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Flexible, however, the facility is a 24/7 365-day operating facility.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
+ Master's Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
+ Independent license issued by NYS
+ Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in good standing, preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
+ Minimum five years of experience working in substance use disorder treatment
+ Minimum two years of experience in a supervisory role
+ Familiarity with OASAS regulations and those of other relevant bodies (i.e. housing providers, Department of Social Services, etc.)
WORK ENVIRONMENT
+ This job operates in an indoor office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.
