Job Title: Machine Operator

Responsibilities

+ Pre-stage tooling ahead of machines running out current job.

+ Support pre-staging of materials in coordination with the operator, programmer, and Area Lead.

+ Responsible for safe setting of all equipment and relevant tooling in the CNC machining area.

+ Support training of production operators in safe and efficient operation of machines.

+ Take an active role in suggesting improvements to the process with regards to SMED and throughput, and standardizing machine practices.

+ Support improvement in 5S standards in the area, especially around tooling storage and staging.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in a machine shop environment

+ Proficient in the use of measuring instruments

+ Ability to work with and direct machine operators

+ Ability to troubleshoot and solve machine-related issues

+ Strong understanding of safety procedures and standards

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morristown, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00/hr.
