Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
+ 7 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting.
+ Experience with enterprise-wide/cross-functional project planning and execution.
Preferred qualifications:
+ Advanced degree in Law, Business, Compliance or a related field.
+ Experience in compliance program management principles, risk assessment methodologies, and internal control frameworks and with Google Common Infrastructure and Core.
+ Familiarity with industry-accepted compliance policies and frameworks is essential.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders and experience in influencing decision-making at all levels, including executive leadership.
+ Ability to demonstrate problem-solving capabilities and experience in bringing structure and clarity to ambiguous situations.
+ Ability to possess proactive mindset.

The newly formed Risk, Compliance and Integrity organization (RCI) brings together critical compliance, assurance, risk and governance functions across Google to help the company meet compliance needs and enable our businesses to innovate. Our goal is to make compliance an engaged advantage for Google by driving scaled, data-driven, and policy-based compliance programs. We manage our operations through risk-based prioritization and governance and consistent and constructive regulator engagement.
We are seeking an experienced compliance program manager to drive key privacy compliance programs. This role demands an understanding of compliance frameworks, risk assessment, and internal controls, coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively across the organization and influence at all levels. The ideal Program Manager is someone with a bias toward action, exceptional communication skills, and a track record of building and managing robust compliance programs.
In addition to a compliance foundation, this role requires exceptional program management capabilities. The successful person will have a demonstrated ability to track, report on, and effectively manage compliance initiatives from inception to completion. This includes defining clear objectives, establishing metrics, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $131,000-$192,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Establish and maintain comprehensive, enterprise compliance programs across Privacy and Security through the development and enforcement of clear policies and guidelines.
+ Lead and coordinate, cross-functional program teams, ensuring alignment on program goals and strategy for multiple compliance programs.
+ Advocate for our programs, effectively communicate program status and impact to executive stakeholders, and ensure alignment on goals.
+ Enhance awareness of compliance requirements and best practices, translating insights into actionable recommendations and initiatives. Partner with product areas to define and continuously optimize comprehensive compliance strategies for new and existing products.
+ Conduct in-depth risk assessments, proactively identify potential compliance gaps, and develop and implement robust mitigation plans, strategies, and frameworks.
