Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) connects the military community—service members, military spouses, and veterans—with American businesses to create economic opportunity and a strong and diversified workforce. HOH is a workforce development initiative of the 501c3 arm of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
Position Overview:
The manager of Member Relations will play a pivotal role on the Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) Member Relations team. Reporting to the director, you will help execute corporate sponsorship and fundraising strategies, maintain strong relationships with existing sponsors, and support ongoing initiatives to achieve revenue and engagement goals. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Responsibilities:
+ Help implement strategies to achieve annual sponsorship and fundraising goals.
+ Conduct research to identify potential sponsors and contribute to building and maintaining a strong prospect pipeline.
+ Support the tracking of sponsor renewals and assist with communications to ensure timely payments and ongoing engagement.
+ Coordinate outreach efforts by preparing materials, drafting communications (e.g., emails, letters), and scheduling appointments for HOH executives with current and prospective sponsors.
+ Collaborate with internal HOH teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of sponsor benefits and program information.
+ Assist with onboarding processes for new sponsors, providing administrative and logistical support to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience.
+ Help identify opportunities to connect sponsors with additional HOH offerings, supporting relationship growth and retention.
+ Stay informed on industry trends and internal best practices to enhance your understanding of the member relations landscape.
+ Compile and maintain accurate records in the sponsorship database, including contact information, engagement history, and reporting metrics.
+ Prepare weekly updates and help create status reports to keep leadership informed of progress and needs.
+ Perform additional administrative or project-based responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3-5 years of experience in fundraising/sales or member or client relations.
+ Proven track record of successfully achieving significant revenue goals through strategic fundraising.
+ Experience working through the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals.
+ Exceptional ability to thrive in a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
+ Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, enabling you to build strong relationships and effectively convey complex information.
+ An outstanding customer service mindset, coupled with excellent organization, time management, and multitasking.
+ Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
+ Proficiency in using CRM databases and MS Office suite.
The salary range for this position is $66,998.00 to $75,000.00. The actual salary paid for this position will vary based on market data, an applicant’s qualifications, relevant degrees, certifications, and other factors. Our full-time employees are eligible for benefits, including health care, vision, dental, retirement, and paid leave.
