    The **Director of Patient Safety and Quality, Inpatient** , provides leadership, direction and administration to ensure consistency, follow through and successful completion of established strategic objectives. Focuses on developing cross-functional and system-wide relationships beyond the Department of Patient Safety and Quality to facilitate highly multidisciplinary and complex collaborations. Quality goals across the assigned focused areas are monitored, barriers eliminated and are successfully achieved. Facilitates the transformation of inpatient operations by instituting and nurturing an outstanding model for collaboration and teamwork, safety, and high quality, reliable outcomes.

     

    **Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required** :

    + Master's Degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Public Health, or other advanced health related degree.

    + Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience in an acute care hospital or relevant Health Care experience.

    + Experience with NDNQI & Magnet Accreditation.

    + Minimum of 3 years of experience in patient safety and quality.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

    **Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred** :

    + Performance Improvement expertise.

    + High Reliability Organizations (HRO) experience.

    + Mastery of performance improvement methodologies.

    + Highly collaborative leader.

    **Licenses and Certifications Required** :

    + Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality or Certified Healthcare Quality Management or Quality Management Certification, or other related National Quality certification.

    + Attainment of Certified Professional Patient Safety (CPPS) within one year of hire.
