Responsibilities
Charter House's mission is to provide the best care through practice, education, and research. The Staff Education Coordinator works collaboratively within the Charter House Department of Health Services and with Charter House Leadership to improve the orientation and ongoing education of staff as it relates to nursing practice. This will include development, implementation and evaluation of educational programs to address various methods of learning preferences and needs. The Staff Education Coordinator will function as a leader, educator, and consultant for dementia engagement and for quality improvement. Adheres to Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice and Nurse Practice Act..
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Minnesota RN license or current license deemed appropriate by the Minnesota Board of Nursing. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. The Staff Education Coordinator must be able to work independently. Requires good communication and human relation skills to interact with Health Service and Charter House staff. Strong problem solving, organizational and critical thinking skills are necessary with the ability to collect, analyze and prioritize information to be used in the development and growth of education programs. Must be knowledgeable of state and federal regulations that relate to Assisted Living and Nursing Home licensure. Must be able to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress. Works flexible hours, which primarily are days, but may require an occasional evening, night, or weekend.
MN Registered Nurse license; Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification (must come from one of the following providers: American Heart Association, Red Cross, or Military Training Network)
